Privacy Notice

Teachbox is a website for teachers. Students do not have accounts and do not use the site. This notice explains what we keep about teachers and about the students a teacher adds to a class list.

About you, the teacher: your name, email address and password (the password is stored in hashed form by our login provider, so we cannot read it), and whether you have paid.

About your students: only the full name you type or import, and a random QR code that identifies the card. We never ask for a student's LRN, birthday, address, photo or any other detail.

About your classes: class names, the points you give, your question sets and your reports.

About payment: you send us a GCash receipt by email. We use it only to check that you paid.

To run the games, give recitation points, keep class records and produce reports for you. To let you log in and to confirm your payment. We do not sell your data and we do not show advertisements.

The QR scanner uses your device camera to read cards. The video stays on your device. It is not recorded, uploaded or stored.

Data stays while your account is active. A class or student you delete can be restored for 30 days, then it is removed for good. You can ask us to delete your whole account at any time.

Your students are children. Please add them only as your school allows, and follow your school's and DepEd's rules about student information. Use full names and nothing more. Do not put sensitive details in class names or questions.

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you may ask to see, correct or delete your data, or ask us to stop using it. You can download a backup of your classes from the Classes page. To make any request, or to report a concern, email us and we will reply.

If we change this notice, the date below will change. For big changes we will tell teachers by email.
